What is the IMO Certificate?
The IMO Certificate (International Maritime Organization) is the international standard for fire protection and safety at sea.
It confirms that a material:
meets the Fire Test Procedures Code (FTP Code)
exhibits low flame spread, limited smoke development, and minimal toxicity
is approved for interior outfitting in ships and maritime areas
Lamitech HPL products with IMO certification have been tested according to FTP Code Part 2 & 5 and are thus approved for use on board cruise ships, yachts, ferries, and offshore platforms.
